About Joseph
Dedicated to Elevating Your Game
Joseph Alvarez is a professional racquet sports coach originally from Venezuela, specializing in tennis, pickleball, and padel. He developed his game competing at a high level, earning the #1 junior ranking in Venezuela and going on to compete internationally across South America on the COSAT Tour, representing both his state and country on multiple occasions.
In recent years, Joseph has focused on pickleball, where he reached #1 in Venezuela and Top 5 in South America. He has also ranked Top 5 in the state of Illinois (2024-2025). He has competed in the main draw of the PPA Tour — the highest level professional pickleball tour in the world — in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles.
With over a decade of coaching experience, Joseph has worked in high-end clubs and private settings, delivering a premium on-court experience to members and clients. He has successfully coached players of all levels, from beginners to high-performance and Division I athletes, with a strong focus on both performance and overall experience.
He holds multiple certifications, including ITF Level 1 & 2, PTR Pickleball certification, and RPP Padel certification. Throughout his career, Joseph has been sponsored by leading global brands including Wilson, Babolat, Selkirk, and Paddletek. In 2025, he was featured in a worldwide campaign with Wilson, highlighting his presence on an international level.
